Not all kitchens are big and spacious, so you have to work with what you have. Small kitchens can keep beautiful and functional as a big one. You can do a little creativity and thinking out of the box to make your small kitchen a place that you love to go to cook, entertain and relax with family

Our Kitchen is typically the hub of the house where all gatherings take place.

You don’t have to spend a more money to create a beautiful kitchen space, no matter how big or small. But if your kitchen is small , you can get more budget friendly ideas.

Use shine and sheen

Your small kitchens can appear and feel to be bigger and brighter when you use high sheen and shiny textures. Shiny appliances and sheen textures make space feel bigger.

Light color choices –

If you using light colors on your walls can open up a space. You know, Yellows, oranges, light blues and greens are color pallets are popular choices today. Its not only for living rooms and dining rooms, but for the kitchen as well. Dark colors are known to close-in spaces and make them feel smaller and tighter.

Use an open shelf for storage –

If having all of your cupboards with doors, can make the space feel more small and dingy. By removing some of the doors on your cupboards to create a few open-shelves, will give the appearance of a more open and airy room. Paint the cabinetry a light color – whitewash or cream tone.

Scale your furniture –

If you having too much, or too big of pieces of furniture, it will shrink your room. You can use smaller tables and chairs, or barstools if accessible. Freeing up floor space will not only make the kitchen feel bigger, but you will have more walking space around the room without bumping into, or maneuvering around furniture.

Uncover windows –

The last thing you want to do is shrink your small kitchen to an even smaller space by covering any windows you have for natural light, with heavy window treatments. Instead, a valance or light and airy window treatments that still let in a good amount of natural light, will give your kitchen more appeal, but it will bigger, brighter, and cheerier.
